The price for our editing services are determined based on the particular needs of the document to be edited. We arrive at a quote through a detailed tally of the document's specific editing requirements and formatting elements. We begin with the prose word count, multiplied by the rate for the chosen level of editing, then add the costs for references, footnotes/endnotes, tables, figures, table of contents, lists of tables and figures, etc. as applicable. This means that there is no one-size-fits-all price for editing and that the price we quote you is reflective of the actual work your document requires.
Our consultants carefully review and assess your document prior to providing any service recommendations or an exact quote. If you have feedback from your supervisors or committee and any formatting guidelines from your University, we will review those documents and take those into account as well.
Once we have all the guidelines and relevant information for your project, we will assess your materials and get back to you with our recommendations for service and a quote, including the turnaround time.
If the proposed offer of services meets your needs, we can accept the first payment and begin the work. However, if you decide you would like to modify the proposed offer of services to better suit your needs, please let us know and we will adjust the order accordingly. This review and assessment is free, and, of course, you will only ever be charged for services that you explicitly approve and order.
Once we receive your document and supporting material, we typically provide our assessment and offer of services within one business day. However, if you are particularly short on time, please let us know and we will make every effort to complete the assessment process on the same day.
The turnaround time for an order is in direct proportion to the order’s size and scope. A full-length thesis is generally completed within 10-12 business days from receipt of payment, while a shorter document, such as a chapter or two typically takes around 5 business days to complete. Expedited services are available for a proportionate fee.

Additional elements are then assessed and added to the prose base as necessary, such as references, in-text or footnote citations, tables, figures, front matter, table of contents, lists of tables and figures, appendices, etc. Each of these elements is assessed individually for its relative difficulty and the time it will take to edit; for example, a three-row table would not cost the same fee to edit as a multi-page, landscape-oriented table.
Once you have approved the service and made your first payment, your project is assigned to an editor. Your editor communicates closely with the consultant who developed the quote to ensure that the project is executed in accordance with your offer of services. During this process, we may reach out to you for clarification of requirements or further instruction.
Some clients come to us with a clear sense of the services they are after. Others welcome the recommendations we make based on our assessment of the quality of the writing, supervisors’ feedback, and the overall needs of the project.
We offer a wide range of payment plans, though we require a deposit before we initiate your order, and full payment is expected by the time the order is complete. Some exceptions can be made for returning clients with extenuating circumstances. We accept all major credit cards, postal orders, PayPal, Zelle, and wire transfers.
